This beautiful Australian home which features in this month's Architectural Digest is located in Palm Beach, one hour north of Sydney. The owners wanted to create a weekend home that family and friends could come and relax in - creating memories for their grandchildren.
This beautiful living room has a Something's Gotta Give feel to it - don't you agree??
The dining room is raised three steps above the living area. I Love the stairs leading up to the second story and the double columns...and the antique french lantern.
The home has walnut plank floors through out, the owners wanted to create a home that they felt comfortable enough to put "their feet up".
The master bedroom features green striped walls and fabric bedhead which is fresh and relaxing
I love all the traditional elements like the wide veranda's and windows
the outdoor entertaining area is stunning!!

I love a raised area and therefore corresponding sunken area in living spaces. That house (who am i kidding, MANSION!) is stunning - gotta find that sugar daddy...

Picture no. 3 does have that "Something's Gotta Give" feel to it but also with a bit of "The Holiday" mixed in there too, don't you think? I think both movies used the same set designer. All images are divine.

Oh I love every inch of every picture. I notice a lot of elements that I have chosen for my home.... but can I pull it all together like that???... well that's why we have interior designers I suppose. I have saved every image in my drool file. GREAT find! A-M xx

that is very near where i come from in sydney, it's where i'd go for a saturday afternoon fish and chips by the beach. this home is totally palm beach, thanks for the memories! x
