Today I am loving this entryway. The combination of the dark timber floors, white walls and pop of colour the fabrics and lamp add to the space....love it!

Love the church pew and love the base of the lamp too - it's so chunky and defined.
I'm not in love with the lamp shade for the rest of the rooms design - but that's me.

I love the contrast...and the bright white walls with the touches of tan and darkwood make me think of a beach bungalo for some reason.
It's quite engaging .. the dark floors pull you like a flame does a moth. Wonderful!

Color doesn't have to be overwhelming to make a statement. I think I enjoy understated and strategic additions of color. It doesn't have to be related to a specific piece, as long as it makes an impression.
And I am loving the potted palm too - so very Victorian! Just need a little glass of sherry and a lace parasol...oh yes please!
