Holiday!!

Today is the start of school holidays here in Brisbane, so we are leaving town for a break! I am looking forward to just relaxing & reading...basically 'nothing' for the week!!

A lovely home...

This character filled family home is located in Melbourne and has been lovingly renovated by its current owner Chyka Keebaugh & her husband.  I adore the way the home is full of one-of-a-kind pieces which the she has picked up at flea markets from around the world. The simple furniture and abundance of character provides a lovely environment for displaying them all.  

I love the white panelled walls and the metal wall sconces which are from Montreux. It provides a lovely backdrop for those stunning peonies. 

A beautiful tablescape of glass ornaments catches the light from the window, I adore the simple touch of colour the green the plants add to the room. Stunning!

The master bathroom 

I adore the private courtyard with its boxed hedge, pots & vintage cafe style chairs giving the yard some lovely character too.

I cannot believe it is Friday already!! Unfortunately I will not be spending my weekend enjoying this beautiful Paris apartment & its view. I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Today I was admiring this collection of images I have in my ever expanding files and the way the neutral tones have been punctuated with a touch of Yellow. By adding some beautiful flowers or some cushions and accessories can change the look of the room without causing much damage to the bank account!

Thank you Porchlight Interiors for the mention yesterday! Hayley & Tracey have just compeleted a house at Carindale and I was so excited to see some of the range from Oliveaux used in this lovely home.

This vinatage bamboo chair has been recovered in a stunning Rubie Green fabric...looks fabulous!

I love the padded velvet bedhead in Kobe and the two cushions are made in Kobe Silver.

I adore this image and pieces displayed in this entry, but I especially love the muted tones with the touch of colour in the yellow chair and the items displayed on the Gustavian style drawers. This images will provide some necessary inspiration to find some pieces to fill my currently void entry....

This image is from the August edition of Homes & Gardens and I love the simple white interior of this French home, the olive branches displayed on the understated console and the picture leaning against the wall & the white floors. Hope you are all having a great day!
