Washing Day!

Image via Madison
I realised that I have not posted any pictures of some laundry's I love yet. We have had a public holiday today in Brisbane and so I managed to catch up on some washing and cleaning...so it probably made me think about this all important room! I love both these laundry's - the top one is painted in a lovely mint green which gives the room a lovely freshness. I especially like the use of the butler sink in both of these images.

These rooms are both light, chic and would make washing a little more pleasant!!

and some stylish laundry products to display!

Oh I LOVE these images. I'm currently working with a friend on her laundry. I'm sure these pics will inspire her just as they did me.

These are gorgeous laundrys! Feeling very inspired to renovate my ugly laundry (maybe the kitchen is a higher priority). Lovely post.

Lovely rooms that make the boring task of laundry so much more fun! Thanks for the photos!

i think this will be the new thing to stay, a fabulous laundry room! i love both images, i think laundry rooms should feel a part of the home and not just a room tucked away some where grey and lonely. more lovely laundry rooms will make laundry enjoyable. color really helps the atmosphere a lot. i really like the soft colors chosen in these laundry rooms, very nice and relaxing. very nice post to see!

Oops, looks as though I'm going against the trend here Amanda! After years of slaving away in the Laundry with the 5 boys + MOTH's grotty stuff, I've decided to downsize our laundry. It's being relocated into a small space behind reset cupboard doors in our upcoming reno.

This will give us a extra space in the new kitchen & our old laundry space is being 'recycled' into a small Butler's Pantry. Your pics are just gorgeous, but my therapist has advised me to put my years of Laundry trauma behind me & move on!

Drool, McDrool! Gorgeous images! Have always thought the laundry has been so under-rated.. time to change that. Villa Anna is responsible for my current laundry, under construction (well we haven't actually even got foundations yet but who needs to get blogged down in accurate details)....she inspired me with images similar to these, which Lily G's cabinet maker replicated to a T, for me. How great is blogging for sharing ideas! Can't wait to share the final result..... in 8 months or so! A-M xx PS Go Millie, you deserve a smaller laundry, after washing clothes for 5 boys + MOTH, all those years!

I'm ready to rip out my laundry and start again, the good thing is i sell all of those beautiful pieces so i now have no excuse to spruce up my laundry, looks like I'm going to do some shop raiding.
