Hey fiddle...
I have been inspired by gardens now the weather is warmer and my garden is starting to grow and flower again. So why not bring the outdoors in and fill a spare corner with a pot or basket of green? One of my favourite indoor plants is the Fiddle Leaf Fig. It has such a wonderful structure and better still they are meant to be easy to care for! Adding a plant makes these rooms look beautiful and fresh.

I love a pot of green in my house, im really looking forward to spending summer in my garden x
Oh, so gorgeous, I couldn't agree more. I'm a big fan of plants, I would put them everywhere, even in the bathroom (I've always loved the idea of a "real" garden tub!). Your blog is so lovely, how have I missed it? Definitely following you!
I adore the fiddle leaf fig!
It adds such beautiful pattern to the rooms!

i adore large live green plants in a home.
but,
i really adore the last image.

I totally agree. Indoor plants are a must in every home, along with fresh flowers and scented candles. I love palms the best. They are so hardy and add an exotic, India Hicks touch! Vaness x.
They are my favorite!
Plants add such warmth and life to any room and perfectly fill that often awkward corner...
love the posts amanda... the figs... and cath... and valentino... you are on a roll girl! xoxo
I love the texture of this plant and always wondered it's name. DIG at James St have some out the front at the moment. I have already started fertilising my flowering plants to bring on more blooms.
I love fiddle leaf figs. Sadly the two I have are recuperating after some neglect. They are growing slowly but surely. Can't wait til they look more like the ones in the pic s you have posted.

great suggestion. while i love gardening, i seem to 'forget' about bringing it indoors aside from the odd picked flower.
will have to inspect one of these next time i am at the nursery. thanks.
Dear Amanda,
Oh these rooms look so elegant and fresh with the addition of a lush, green plant.
I am pretty good in the garden but, put a plant inside our house and something goes wrong and they all DIE !! I have managed to kill an aspidistra, which is called the cast iron plant, so named because it is impossible to kill.....I managed it !!!! XXXX
I have one of those too. That plant will hold up to almost anything. Even my naughty kitties climbing it and dumping it over. I move it out for summer and in for winter. One of my favorites even if it is a bit ragged right now from those kitties.

How beautiful - I love a bit of living colour in a room!
I hope you are doing okay.
And I'm hearing that spring is springing in your part of the world! xo Terri
Hi! I just bought one a few weeks ago, and mine is still looking good which is a miracle for me. Really love having the pop of green in my house too...

I too adore fiddle leaf figs. Any idea how fast or sloooow they are supposed to grow? Mine is a bit squatty! :(
Love your beautiful examples.

That first image is absolutely beautiful. The green of the plant, the delicate pinks and the white combination is so gorgeous! x
So true,I love living with plants and greenery. The Fiddle
Leaf Fig is so ornamental.
It is so funny how you are on a different mind set, being at the beginning of spring...
We are just welcoming autumn and I think of bringing my oleanders inside soon!
Happy Sunday!
you're right! those deep green leaves add a bit of energy and promise to those spaces. love many of the pots they are in as well ;) hope you are enjoying your spring, we are heading into autumn here.
I love those figs too, but I'm not finding them very easy to maintain at all! My tree keeps dropping leaves! I water it and its plenty of light. Not sure what's up.
The fiddle leaf fig (ficus pandurata) has ALWAYS been my favorite plant! Actually, most of the ficus plants are among my favorite.
Wow! this is simply beautiful, eh. Never knew that fiddle could be a great accessory in a house. Fresh, clean and wonderful to look at. :)
