Bon Weekend!

When I was in Paris last month I visited the store Merci. There is a wonderful little cafe at the front of the store where the walls are lined with old books which you are able to read. It was a warm day outside so I decided this would be a wonderful place to stop for a while and have a fresh orange juice. Look at how it arrived. It really is all in the detail ...and the little white paper cup had a perfect mouthful of cake.... delicious!

For me its all about enjoying the simple things! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and get some time to stop and enjoy the little details which surround us....Axx

Dear Amanda,
First of all, so sorry that I've been AWOL. Still trying to catch up from being at my sisters for a week ! We are off to Italy in a couple of weeks and I shall have to catch up all over again !!
What a wonderful place to stop for an orange juice and a read. The French just know how to do it, don't they ? Have a lovely Sunday, Amanda. XXXX

The colors in the image remind me of absinthe, The Green Fairy. What a beautiful setting, you must have been over the moon with joy.

Hi Amanda! Just stumbled upon your website, and I was reading over your post, and I have been to a similar cafe, but in Toronto, Canada! The place was full of books (old and new) and had very cool jazz music. I can totally relate to your post. Plus the furniture there was so rustic and fit perfectly with the store. Love those details. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your trip :)

I completely agree. A simple glass of juice is turned into an elegant vignette for you to savour and enjoy. The French know how to do it in style don't they...
