A Noble Retreat

Babington House is a stunning relaxed country retreat located in Somerset UK and was recently refurbished by the talented Ilse Crawford.  I could not think of a better place to spend a few days at the moment.

I think the hardest thing would be choosing which room!

The bathrooms are all beautiful...

The Lounge...

The Library and its gorgeous chairs and so many more beautiful images to see here.

Love this...what a way to get some R & R..
I love unique places to stay, not as thrilling are the stamped out hotels...

This is so gorgeous! I love that the interiors feel more current and that the house is completely covered in chintz!

MOTH still owes me a weekend away for our wedding anniversary earlier this month. I've just found the place thanks to you Amanda! Interesting to see the Poms are finally focussing on baths.

Fantastic house!
Love all of those bathtubs.
I have always wanted to put a bathtub in a bedroom. There is something so romantic about that.
I also like how most of the bathrooms feel more like regular rooms with cozy chairs and antique tables.
Thank you for the tour.
I'm off to see the rest of the photos!

How I wish I could retreat with you in this noble place to rehab.

Am on my feet again & about and can't wait running up & down in my poorman's house.

I had done some projects although am sick without hubby´s knowledge *giggles

I will post this when I get all things done.

Hugs to you my dear Amanda!

I pick door #1. Fabulous room. I want to go sleep in that room right now! Or better still soak in the tub in front of an open fire. Thanks for showing us pure luxury.

I love Isle have been a long time admirer of hers, I think she was hands down the best editor Elle Decoration UK ever had; I stopped buying the magazine after she left - it lost its edge, she has such a great eye.

I am working on 11 bathrooms right now in one house, and most of them are white with a color...I feel better now after seeing your blog on all white bathrooms.
thanks.
