Mamma Mia!

Images via movie.yahoo

I went and saw Mamma Mia last night with my daughter and friends...based on the musical, the cast break out in ABBA at any opportune moment which I enjoyed hearing sung in their own voices. Loved the set, Greek Island coastline and beautiful Villa...a great fun movie!! I won't say anymore about it in case you are yet to see it.

Simply Devine!

Image Traditional Home Magazine

Michael Devine had told me a month or two ago about his fabrics appearing in the May edition of Tradition Home. I was excited to finally see the magazine arrive out here (a little behind hey!!)...this bedroom features Michael's "Fretwork Choclolate" fabric for the roman blinds. It's great to see his fabric getting some well deserved press attention! Email me for pricing.

Thank you

New England Style home...

This beautiful house is in Chelmer a Brisbane riverside suburb. It was on the market a few months ago...It caught my attention when it featured in Brisbane News, a free publication which is delivered to my letterbox each week. I had to do a drive by just to see it!! Chelmer is often voted as having Brisbane's most livable street and this house is a testament to that...enjoy!

I love white kitchens with stone tops and the beautiful big windows off the dining area.

I love the built in book shelves and the striped sofa...wouldn't it look great with some Oliveaux fabrics on it!!
And maybe a large buttoned ottoman.

Reminiscing of Paris...

I have just been going through some photo's of my trip to Paris in January. A must visit is the markets where I saw so many beautiful things I wanted to take home with me!!

The Designers Guild stand at Maison & Objet was stunning! They designed several rooms around the stand in the new release fabrics for 2008. I have enjoyed re looking at these images and all the different ways they have used their fabrics. Very inspiring don't you agree???

A stunning tablescape....

All white homewares....very classic!!

A Country House

Yesterday I came across this beautiful country home which features in this months Australian House & Garden magazine that I just have to keep. A New England style home with touches of American architecture, I love the wide drive and hedged formal garden, the french gray colour scheme and white accent...a perfect country home in the Southern Highlands of NSW.

I Love the European oak parquetry floors...also the lantern in the double height entry is beautiful, I like the way it picks up on the colour of the stair balustrade.

The home features this lovely white kitchen and gray stone bench top. The open shelves with matching jars of ingredients make a nice statement.

French Weekender

Couldn't you just imagine spending time here this weekend!!

The simplicity of the furnishings and fabrics are perfect for a weekender, Linen slip covered chairs, wicker furniture and big windows providing a great view and lots of natural light.

The home was released in West Side June/July 2006

This beautiful weekender sits in the landscape of the Bay of Somme in France. The house built in 1845 by the founder of Guerlain perfume. Now owned by a Belgium couple who spend weekends here with friends.

Hampton Home

This home was designed by Australian born designer Emma Pilkington for a couple's Hampton home, which features in this months Elle Decor. I love the touch of glamour added to the kitchen with the chandelier and mirrored table, not to mention the lovely french doors!!
I love the Chippendale style chair and the linen covered sofa. This layout would be perfect for a Queensland sunroom...

The guestroom...
