Beautiful Rooms

This home is featured in one of my old editions of House Beautiful. I love the antique pieces used throughout this home. (minus the taxidermy - not for me)

I adore the light fitting and pink curtains in this room. Beautiful colours for a girls room.

Blogger's Unite

Today is Blog Action Day and the topic this year is Poverty. I was excited to get the heads up about this day from one of my favourite blogger's, Pia.  It gives me goose bumps to think that blogger's are able to unite together for one day to speak about poverty.

I have been blessed with work and a home - never experiencing poverty.  A small way I can help is to provide assistance and stimulate awareness for this day.  There are many wonderful groups and organisations here and overseas that are doing something to try and reduce poverty.  So.... Leave a comment on this post within the next few days and I will donate two dollars per comment to the Nakuru Baby Orphanage in Kenya - an amazing couple,  Ivan and Mary,  sold their home in Australia four years ago and moved to Kenya with their family to start the orphanage where they now look after 35 babies and children.  I encourage you to take a look at how much they have achieved in such a short time.

So all you have to do is read this post and more importantly...comment!!

Take me away...

Hooray! It's the weekend here again and I would love to be whisked away to this beautiful home in St Tropez.  I could imagine sitting by the pool on one of these lovely pink striped lounges with a great book.  Back to reality....Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!

Food Inspiration

I have been having a busy week and not had a chance to post until now - amazing how the work piles up when you have been away!! I am always inspired by the images and styling in food magazines. This kitchen belongs to artist Jules Francois and like most of us she has a love affair with all things food & french!

I love the collection of tins and cakes stands - many of the items are found at flea markets.

Back to work!

Photographer: Jason Loucas

Its fabulous to be home again after a wonderful break! It has gone fast, as holidays always do and so it is back to work for me this morning.

I was initially only planning to take a week off  but it extended into two weeks. Last week my daughter & I went to Newcastle to help my sister who has just had a baby girl. It is always very exciting to have a new baby in the family & it was lovley to be able to spend some time with them! My sister already has two boys - 18mths and the other who turns 3 in January. With 3 under 3 she will have her hands full!!!
